Thank You Gifts

We all learnt from a very young age that it is good manners to say “please” and “thank you”. I haven’t yet heard of anyone ever receiving a please gift but thank you gifts are a wonderful way to show your appreciation to someone. I think it would be great of please gifts were given, then you could get a gift when someone asks you a favour and then another one after you have done the favour for them – I think I might be onto something here.

Thank you gifts are of course not always necessary  – I would think that if someone returned your phone call a simple “thank you” over the phone would be enough, you wouldn’t have to go out and get them some chocolates. But then there are the more meaningful courteous gestures that people may do such as helping you get a job or lending you money or looking after your child for a weekend. These actions deserve a “thank you” bigger than a simple telephone call.

I am by no means saying that you have to break the bank but even a card or a bunch of flowers is sufficient for certain scenarios. Appreciation for someone is something that needs to be shared in one way or another. I know that I always like to feel appreciated and am sure it is that way with all people. Thank you gifts do not always have to be elaborate but I feel that it is important to give them.

If, however, you are thanking someone for something big, like saving you life, then you might want to go bigger than a bunch of flowers. I am realising as I write this that there isn’t actually a right gift (or the right words) that could fully convey your gratitude for being alive. But, if you have the money and want to give a larger gift as a gesture of appreciation then you might want to check out Celestial Gift Experiences for a wide range of thank you gifts.

You could get anything from massages, spar treatments and weekends away to self drive experiences, bungee jumping and helicopter trips. Whatever kind of person you are shopping for; there is a gift out there for them. Saying “thank you” to someone for whatever they may have done for you is something that they will greatly appreciate and it will probably aid in them wanting to help you again in the future.

Other occasions where you might want to give thank you gifts are when you are going to someone’s house for dinner – bring a bottle of wine with as a gesture – or if someone has invited you to stay with them at their holiday house – make dinner for them one night. Saying “thank you” is the easiest thing in world to do and feeling appreciated in one of the most amazing feelings in the world.

Whether it is a hug or a gift voucher, always remember to extend a hand of gratitude towards those who extended their hands in support.
